雪佛龙在墨西哥湾安装新的海上油气钻井船角度

Chevron installs new offshore oil and gas drillship in Gulf of Mexico

Chevron Corporation's new drillship has arrived in the Gulf of Mexico, according to a company statement. Th铁框e deepwater rig can work in waters as deep as 12,000 feet.

Th激光元件e Pacific Sharav will work under a five-year contract with Pacific Drilling, and it is Chevron's fifth drillship in the Gulf, according to the statement.

Chevron currently has more than a dozen energy developments around the world amounting to $150 billion in investments, according to Bloomberg. These include the $7.5 billion Jack/St. Malodeepwater project in the Gulf of Mexico.

"Chevron subsidiaries are among the top leaseholders 宣传卡in the Gulf of Mexico and the area continues to be a key enabler in our growth plans, which includes our Jack/St. Malo project, due to come online this year," said Jeff Shellebarger, president of Chevron North America Exploration and Production Company.
